Meet Dr. Doly Baquero
Your Trusted Palmetto Bay Veterinarian
Every pet parent in Palmetto Bay deserves a partner who truly listens. At The Falls Animal Clinic, our founder Dr. Doly Baquero (affectionately known as “Dr. Doly”) has spent nearly three decades building a veterinary practice centered around honest communication, deep medical expertise, and a gentle touch.
As the leader of our independent, privately owned South Florida animal clinic, Dr. Baquero answers only to you and your pet—not corporate bottom lines. She is committed to delivering highly personalized, cost-conscious care designed to give your pet a long, happy life by your side.
Decades of Trusted Experience & Credentials
Dr. Baquero earned her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 1997 from the University of Llanos in Colombia, initially practicing large animal medicine before moving to the Sunshine State. Today, she brings more than 25 years of clinical experience in small animal medicine and surgery to our Palmetto Bay community.
To ensure your pet receives the highest level of care, Dr. Baquero maintains rigorous professional credentials:
- USDA Accredited: Fully certified to assist you with domestic and international health certificates for stress-free pet travel.
- Advanced Focus: Highly skilled in small animal internal medicine, veterinary dermatology, and gentle soft-tissue surgery.
- Professional Memberships: Active member of both the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) and the South Florida Veterinary Medical Association (SFVMA).
“Being a veterinarian is a profound blessing. I am constantly amazed by the resilience of the animals I treat, and nothing brings me greater satisfaction than helping local families keep their beloved companions healthy, comfortable, and thriving.” — Dr. Doly Baquero
Life in Our South Florida Community
Dr. Baquero understands the unique joy of raising pets in South Florida. When she isn’t caring for patients at the clinic, she loves exploring our beautiful local waterways, fishing, practicing photography, and spending time with her family.
Her home is kept lively by her own two rescue dogs: Yin (a sweet poodle mix) and Dallas (a high-energy French Bulldog mix). Having her own rescues keeps her deeply connected to the everyday joys, worries, and adventures of pet parenthood.
